Georges River Council resumed management of Jubilee Stadium in February 2017, and has taken the opportunity to make the oval more accessible to other sporting clubs and codes. This ensures greater use of the venue and establishes a more vibrant sporting precinct in the local area, which also improves Jubilee Stadium’s long-term commercial viability.
St George Illawarra Dragons call the ground home, and other clubs to have taken advantage of this outstanding venue and what it has to offer include St George Football Association, who held their finals there in late August 2017 and Arsenal, who trained at the venue during their recent visit to Sydney to play against Wanderers FC and Sydney FC. Jubilee Stadium features in this uplifting video the club put together called #WeAreStGeorge.
Jubilee Stadium is the premium sporting venue in the Georges River LGA, with capacity for 20,000 people including 2,000 corporate seats, four separate dressing rooms and three function rooms ranging in capacity from 150-300 pax. The main asset that attracts attention from professional players is the quality of the playing surface, and additionally having hot and cold baths in the main home dressing room.
