Council advertises public notices on this webpage to keep our community informed about a proposed action or decision affecting your area. 

In addition, Council places items such as on draft plans, projects, policies and documents on public exhibition to provide opportunities for members of the local area to comment and give their feedback.

Public notices are exhibited for 12 months unless they have a clear expiry on the notice of information to the community. All public notices are archived and previous notices are available for the community to access by contacting media@georgesriver.nsw.gov.au.



  • Temporary Morning Closure on 1 July: Hurstville Aquatic Leisure Centre and Norm Oneill Cricket Centre

    Hurstville Aquatic Leisure Centre and the Norm O'Neill Cricket Training Facility will close on the morning of 1 July 2026. The centres will reopen at 2.00pm after a planned power outage and safety checks.

  • Shared e-bikes in Georges River

    Shared e-bike operator Lime officially expanded to Georges River on Monday 4 May 2026. This follows new NSW Government laws that allow approved operators to enter council areas.  Residents can report issues directly to Lime for quicker action, while Council continues to monitor safety, parking, and community concerns.
  • Completed Works and Parking – Sans Souci Leisure Centre

  • Sydney Water Work on Lyle Street, Hurstville
