Illegal posters are unauthorised materials attached to power poles and other public infrastructure. These posters can pose serious safety risks, obstruct necessary information, and contribute to visual pollution. It is illegal to place posters on power poles as they are owned and managed by Ausgrid.
 

Addressing Illegal Posters

To tackle the issue of illegal posters, Ausgrid provides a range of channels through which to report illegal posters, to ensure the safety and cleanliness of our community. Ausgrid prohibits the attachment of material to electricity assets without approval as per the Electricity Supply Act 1995.
If you spot an illegal poster, do not attempt to remove it yourself for safety reasons. Instead, report it to Ausgrid’s maintenance crew through the appropriate channels listed below.
