Public Health

Council's Environmental Health Officers (EHOs) work to protect the health and wellbeing of the Georges River community. They investigate and inspect a wide range of public health issues across the area.

Public health covers many aspects of daily life. Our EHOs address issues such as unhealthy land, pest infestations, and other risks to community health. They also conduct regular inspections of:

  • Public swimming pools and spas.
  • Cooling towers.
  • Skin penetration businesses, including tattoo studios and beauty salons.

EHOs enforce public health laws and respond to community concerns. Their work helps prevent the spread of disease and keeps public places safe for everyone.
