What is the E-Waste drop off?

E-Waste Drop Off is an event which allows residents of the Georges River area to drop off their unwanted e-waste for free.

Computers, laptops, monitors and computer accessories

Printers, scanners, fax machines and photocopiers

Furniture

Phones, mobile phones and accessories including headsets
 

Cardboard or plastic packaging

Electronic charges, cables, switches, and power boards

 

Electronic gaming devices and accessories

 

Small appliances such as toaster, microwaves, scales, calculators and more

 

Please note: it is advised that hard drives,laptops and computers have any personal information removed prior to drop off.
 

Where does my E-Waste go?

Councils E-waste contractors Tekflow remove the items from Councils drop off locations, the items are transported to Tekflow’s recycle and recovery centres in Minto and Auburn. Diverting hazardous material away from landfill and enabling the reuse and valuable resources contained in E-waste to be recovered. 95% of what is recovered is recycled.
