Stephanie Quirk | Public Artist | Educator

Hi, I'm Stephanie, I'm an public artist and educator. My artistic practice has recently shifted to encompass community engagement, as I combine the explorations within my art practice with the passion and experience from my teaching career. My material practice oscillates between large scale sculptural installation, murals, painting and drawing. I incorporate vivid colours, bold shapes, dynamic surface pattern, and craft media typically used in childhood development being; papier-mache, wall drawings, oil pastels, and acrylic paints.

In my life and my art I pursue the sublime. I am drawn to challenging and awe-inspiring landscapes - climbing mountains, trekking deserts, walking rivers. Ananda Galeti - Mural and lettering Artist

As a Brazilian mural artist, I've always been passionate about art. It started in Brazil where I realised the impact murals can have. Now in Australia, I'm still on my creative journey, leaving my mark in new places. Murals, to me, represent an unparalleled opportunity to influence the lives of those who interact with the spaces I transform. I strongly believe in the universal power of words as a means of communication, which is why I incorporate phrases and lettering into my mural designs.

I've worked with various clients, from homes to big companies, which has made my art journey richer. Currently, I'm focusing on combining lettering with murals to inspire and uplift people and spaces. Thanks for checking out my work! Whether you want art for your home or a big project, I'd love to work with you, let's create something together!

I find connection in these experiences with the power of art in helping us to form a stronger understanding of ourselves and our place in the world. Making collaborative, participatory, educational and immersive public artworks, I bring my experiences of the sublime to create moments of pause, initiate connection to place and self, and spark curiosity through our surroundings.
