We recognise the valuable contribution that organisations provide in the initiation and running of community events in the Georges River area. These events not only highlight the area's rich cultural diversity but also contribute to the delivery of social, cultural, economic, and environmental benefits.

The Event Grant program provides not-for-profit organisations with the opportunity to apply for grant funding to support the running of a community event, held on Council owned land, or land managed by Council. 

The program is underpinned by the principles of Council’s Community Strategic Plan 2022-2032 and governed by the Grants and Donations Policy (2023).

A few things to note

• Applications must be received 12 weeks ahead of the event date.

• Applications for an Event Grant must be received in conjunction with a Georges River Council External Event Application Form and pending Event Permit.

• To apply, please complete the External Event Application Form and Request for Council Support for Community Run Events Form and email to the Events Team at events@georgesriver.nsw.gov.au.
