  • Assets and Infrastructure

    This directorate is responsible for leading, planning, delivering and managing developments. This includes delivering new infrastructure and services. It also involves responding to growth in residential, commercial, and industrial areas.

  • Business and Corporate Services

    The Business and Corporate Services directorate provides quality support services. These services meet the needs of internal and external customers now and in the future. This helps with effective planning and supports Council’s strategic initiatives.

  • Community and Culture

    This directorate works with the community to ensure it is connected. Our teams offer a range of lively programs and services to bring together our community. They offer cultural and creative activities. They also support our community's need for information.

  • Environment and Planning

    Manages policies, systems, practices, and deliverables for the built environment and landscapes in Georges River.

    • Environmental Health and Regulatory Services.

    • Development Assessment and Building Certification.

    • Strategic Planning.

  • Office of General Manager

    Our Office of General Manager is responsible for the following.

    • Executive Services: Executive Services handles Council and Committee meetings. They organise briefings and workshops for our Councillors. They also ensure we meet our reporting requirements.

    • City Futures: The City Futures team includes Communications and Engagement, Marketing, and Economic Development. The team works to strengthen both the Georges River community and Council through strategic advocacy, place branding, and relationship building. They lead communication, community engagement, and marketing initiatives, while also fostering partnerships and delivering projects that support community growth, economic development, and positive transformation across the area.

    • General Counsel: Our General Counsel is responsible for the management of Council’s legal function. This includes running matters in Court and other tribunals and jurisdictions. They also offer training or advice to Council business units on legal issues.

    • Internal Audit: Internal Audit provides independent, internal audit assurance services. This is to improve operational and governance processes and monitor compliance controls.
