Mayoral Column - Join the Fun: Uncontained Arts Festival Returns to Georges River

20/06/2025

Mark your calendars, our much-loved festival Uncontained is returning to Kogarah this June!

From Friday 27 to Sunday 29 June, Belgrave Street will be transformed into a vibrant open-air gallery for three days of bold creativity. Now in its fifth year, Uncontained brings together immersive installations, interactive art experiences, captivating light displays, live music and delicious food.

What I love most about Uncontained is how it invites people of all ages and backgrounds to get involved. Whether you’re joining in the neon paint life-drawing, watching a live mural take shape, enjoying the kids’ area or simply grabbing a bite from one of the food trucks, there’s a real sense of community in every part of the event.

Uncontained is a celebration of creativity, connection, and community. It’s a chance to support local talent, enjoy the arts, and experience something unique to the Georges River area.

This festival wouldn’t be possible without the support of our Major Sponsor, Optus and Event Sponsors Sydney Water and VJB Group, who help bring this event to life for our community.

I encourage you to come along with your family, friends, or neighbours and be part of one of the most loved events in Georges River.
