Uncontained Arts Festival

South Sydney’s biggest outdoor art festival is back on Friday 27 June with a bang!

ART

Samuel Absurd x Lawrence Liang Public Art // ANINA

An installation is inspired by the Eastern philosophical principles of Bardo, a Tibetan Buddhist concept referring to the ethereal  intermediate state between death and reincarnation. For Uncontained 2025, the animation effects and expressions tell a story focused on a unique duality relating to Kogarah and the Georges River LGA.

Anastasia Parmson // I Drew a Line and Called it Home

This installation features a small room, consisting entirely of three-dimensional black and white drawing, inviting festival-goers to step into a pocket of wonder. Viewers are invited to experience this cozy, intimate setting where simple line drawing becomes a means of connecting with our own creativity and inspiration.

Chrissy Lau x EARWORM // King Kogarah Bin Chicken Rave

King Kogarah Bin Chicken Rave is a community site-specific sensory installation to celebrate Kogarah and the Georges River area. Chrissy Lau x EARWORM’s collaboration takes the ordinary sights and sounds of Kogarah and champions them in an extraordinary visual, light and sound experience.

Silly Pear // Uncontained

Silly Pear is a one man show run by Illustrator/ designer/ creative guy Charlie Nivison. His artworks are packed with bright colours and lively characters. They celebrate joy, movement, as well as modern symbols and motifs to help connect with the modern world and local community.
