South Sydney’s biggest outdoor art festival is back on Friday 27th June with a bang!
Georges River Council held the first successful Uncontained Arts Festival in June 2021 which attracted over 26,000 people and was nominated for Best Arts Festival in the Australian Street Art Awards. In June 2023, Georges River Council held the third successful, Uncontained Arts Festival which attracted over 40,000 people.
Returning for its fifth year in 2025, the Uncontained Arts Festival has become one of the main features of Georges River Council's events program.
The Festival delivers three days of excitement that surprises and delights our community along Belgrave Street, Kogarah. It features an array of immersive art installations, dynamic live performances, and mouth-watering food trucks.

Sway Productions - Aerial Performance 'Bloom!'
Bloom! is an exhilarating, celebratory spectacle presented atop Sway’s bespoke bendy poles. Inspired by the ephemeral beauty of flowers and drawing parallels with world of humans, Bloom! explores themes of individuality, diversity and transformation. Accessible to all ages and cultures, Bloom! is accompanied by Ania Reynold’s original soundtrack.

One Round Entertainment - DJ Yianni Moutopoulos
DJ Yianni Moutopoulos will bring the ultimate music experience to the event with expert mixing skills and an extensive collection of tracks across all genres. He is a master of creating an immersive experience, using his passion for music and community to add to the incredible vibe of the festival.

Laura Jade - AI Tarot
AI Tarot Reader invites you to experience an interactive tarot reading with Mremlyn, a young AI forging her path as a fortune-teller. Mremlyn weaves your live heart rate data together with ancient folklore to bring you answers to life's burning questions.
This immersive artwork playfully explores the fascinating bond between humanity and technology, blending AI innovation with the mystique of divination.

LED Dancers
Making their debut at this year’s event are the enchanting LED Butterfly Girls on stilts, adding a touch of ethereal grace to the winter night. Joining them are the mesmerising roaming LED Ring Dress robots, which will light up the night with their dynamic colours and robotic movements. A highlight of this year’s spectacle is the unveiling of the brand new large Inflatable light-up Seahorses on stilts, a whimsical addition sure to capture the imagination of all who attend. These larger-than-life creations promise to transport attendees into a realm where fantasy meets reality.

The Uncontained Arts Festival is an accessible event, inviting people from all walks of life across all abilities to take part in a celebration of our City’s creativity.
There are several accessibility services available to our attendees.

Accessible toilets and a baby change space (located inside the Clive James Library, Kogarah).

Accessible parking on Belgrave Street.

Seating distributed throughout the Festival.

Water bowls are available for service animals.

Quiet space located at Clive James Library and Service Centre.
Please note that some installations will have flashing lights, smoke and music.
