Looking for fun experiences during the school holidays? Bring your group to Hurstville Museum & Gallery for a fun and engaging school holiday experience. Our Vacation Care programs introduce children to museums, art, history and creativity through hands-on activities, exhibition exploration and playful learning.

Entry to Hurstville Museum & Gallery is free, and we welcome Vacation Care and children's groups to visit during the school holidays. If you are planning a self-guided group visit for more than five people, please contact us in advance to arrange your booking.

We also offer private Vacation Care programs designed especially for groups of children aged 5 -12 years. Our educator-led experiences provide opportunities for children to explore the museum and gallery, get creative and have fun with art and craft activities.
 

Choose from the following Vacation Care group booking options:

Booking option 1:
Children will explore our permanent exhibition, discover the current Main Gallery exhibition and take part in a hands-on art or craft activity to take home. Depending on the exhibitions and program available, the experience may include a treasure hunt, time to explore the gallery and a guided art or craft activity led by our educators.
 
Ages: 5 - 12 years old.
Maximum capacity of children: 45 children.
Duration: 10.30am – 12.30pm (afternoon session available if preferred).
Cost: $13.00 per child. Carers attend free. Please note, minimum charges apply.
 

Booking option 2:
Make it a full-day school holiday excursion by combining your Hurstville Museum & Gallery experience with a visit to the nearby Civic Theatre.
Children will take part in the Museum & Gallery Experience (Booking 1, including exhibition exploration and a creative art or craft activity), and enjoy the school holiday movie showing at the Civic Theatre. This option offers a full day of art, creativity, learning and entertainment.

Ages: 5 - 12 years old.
Maximum capacity of children: 90 children.
Duration: 10.30am – 3.00pm (with a short break for lunch).
Cost: $25.00 per child. Carers attend free. Please note, minimum charges apply.
