Georges River Council celebrates accolades in the NSW Local Government Excellence Awards

Georges River Council celebrated achievements highlighted at the NSW Local Government Excellence Awards on 6 June 2024.
 
Council were featured as finalists nine times in eight categories and won three awards.
 
The event is the pinnacle celebration of the exceptional projects and leaders in the local government sector and the commitment to promote innovation and excellence through vibrant communities.

The Awards celebrate outstanding achievement and promote innovation and continuous improvement within the NSW local government sector. Nominees undergo a rigorous process of assessment and evaluation by their peers alongside independent judges and distinguished industry leaders, to be announced as finalists in their chosen category. Winners and finalists enjoy the recognition of their work as the Awards’ prestige highlights their projects to the community, key stakeholders and media.
