Adventure Awaits: Autumn School Holidays

17/03/2025

These autumn school holidays, families can look forward to an exciting lineup of events at Georges River Libraries, Hurstville Entertainment Centre, and Hurstville Museum & Gallery. These activities promise fun and adventure for children of all ages.

Whether you’re making art, diving into science, getting hands-on with technology or experimenting with new ideas, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

To celebrate Easter and ANZAC Day, there will be free drop-in colouring stations for Easter (from 10 to 22 April) and ANZAC day (from 23 to 30 April) at Hurstville Museum & Gallery.

Our popular free school holiday movies this autumn will be Despicable Me 4 and Runt at Hurstville Entertainment Centre, bookings are essential.

There are exciting activities across all Georges River Libraries at Hurstville, South Hurstville, Kogarah, Penshurst, and Oatley including Lego printmaking, coding a video game and a fun role-playing game where children become detectives and crack a cold case mystery.

Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said, “The school holidays are a fantastic time for families to connect, learn, and create lasting memories. Our autumn program offers a wonderful mix of creativity, storytelling, and entertainment.

“I encourage families to make the most of the free and affordable activities, we hope you book sessions in, and be part of the fun.”
