Georges River Council’s annual Magic of Christmas event proved to be a success, with a crowd of 5,000 braving the weather on Saturday 7 December.
The free event featured a star-studded line up of entertainment. Samantha Jade headlined the show, with family favourites such as The Minions and Cocomelon and local entertainment groups also taking the stage.
Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said: “Magic of Christmas is such a delightful event, and it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces on Saturday night.
“Magic of Christmas brings our local community together to celebrate the spirit and joy of Christmas every year.
“I’d like to thank event sponsors Optus and Georges Estate, vendors, performers, Council staff and community for contributing to this event and making it such a huge success,” added Mayor Borg.
Magic of Christmas marked the start of Council’s exciting summer events program, which will be followed up by the 2025 Australia Day Picnic and Lunar New Year Festival, welcoming the Year of the Snake.
