Last days to give feedback on local libraries and services

27/02/2025

Over the past few months, Council has been seeking feedback on library spaces, collections, and services to ensure they continue to meet the evolving needs of our diverse community.

We’re calling on anyone who hasn’t submitted feedback yet to participate in the next few days.

The survey, part of the ongoing Libraries 2030 Strategy Community Check-in, is available on Council's Your Say page and will run until 28 February 2025.

The Libraries 2030: Georges River Library Strategy, developed in collaboration with the community in 2019, outlines plans for the future of local libraries. Recognising that community needs and priorities may have shifted as 2030 approaches, Council is committed to understanding what is most important to residents when using library services.

Both current library members and those who have never used the libraries are encouraged to participate in the survey, which takes approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.

Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said, "We are thrilled with the incredible response we've received so far, with over 800 community members already sharing their feedback. As the survey is closing soon, it’s important to get your feedback in soon.

“This demonstrates the importance our community places on our library services. We encourage everyone to visit the Your Say page to participate so our libraries continue to meet the needs of our diverse community. Your feedback is essential in shaping the future of our libraries."
