Join Georges River Council in regenerating local bushland

26/04/2024

Georges River Council’s annual Bushcare events schedule has been released.

The schedule includes a list of events throughout the year that focus on education and revitalisation of flora and fauna in Georges River bushland. Participants will learn about native plants, gardening techniques and even get involved.

Georges River Council Mayor, Sam Elmir, thanks all Bushcare volunteers, “The community at Georges River have always been a great help to us. We always have volunteers ready to pitch in and help regenerate our bushlands, and we are very appreciative of their support.

“We want to encourage individuals and corporate teams to get involved in their community. Helping to protect native flora and fauna by increasing the biodiversity of bushland reserves is a rewarding pursuit.”

All events are free to attend, and the Georges River Council Bushcare team will provide all necessary tools for the day. Participants should bring their own gloves, hats, and water bottles to ensure their comfort throughout the day. No prior experience is required.
