We are tree-mendously excited to announce the team producing season 2 of the ABC comedy series ‘Mother and Son’ have chosen to film at the beautiful Mortdale Memorial Park for the series! We can’t give too much away, but the park and its wonderful Hills Weeping Figs will be highly-featured in one of the episodes when it broadcasts next year! 

Mother and Son is a re-imagining of the classic Australian sitcom starring comedians Matt Okine and Denise Scott, produced by the production company Wooden Horse. 

Filming will be taking place on Monday 2 December and Tuesday 3 December 2024 between the hours of 7.00am - 6.00pm. Please organise your visit to the park with these activities in mind.

During the above dates, CATO Location Services will be reserving necessary vehicle spaces for their equipment vehicles on Oxford Street as well as a couple of vehicle spaces on Martin Place to ensure everyones safety during the filming.

CATO Location Services will also be managing Pedestrian Control around the filming areas to ensure the general public and community can cross through the filming area safely.

We kindly ask that you help towards keeping the planned filming at Mortdale Memorial Park spoiler free, please refrain from taking any photos or videos of the filming unless previously organised through the Council and the Production.
