Announcement of the NSW State Government’s Low and Mid-Rise Housing Policy

The NSW State Government have announced the Stage 2 of its Low to Mid-Rise Housing Policy, stating it will start on 28 February 2025.
 
It introduces new planning controls to allow dual occupancies, terraces, town houses and low- and mid-rise apartments to be built in identified areas across Sydney, Central Coast, Illawarra and Hunter regions.
 
In the Georges River Local Government Area the areas identified by the State Government are Kogarah, Hurstville,  Penshurst, Mortdale, Oatley, Beverly Hills, and Riverwood.
