Have you picked up a camera before, but have been confused about the different settings, and how to use them? Have you ever wondered what it means to shoot RAW?
In this hands-on workshop, you will have the chance to test out the manual settings of a DSLR camera and apply basic photo editing techniques using photo editing software.
In this two-hour workshop you will learn:

How to get the most out of your camera - whether it’s a DSLR or phone

Composition Secrets - How to frame and capture the best angles of a frame

How to light and pose portraits - get people feeling comfortable and looking their best

Software and apps to edit your photos - using both free and paid tools.

About the Facilitator:
This workshop is facilitated by Daniel Scott. He is a trainer and videographer with over 10 years experience working across agencies, broadcasters, post houses, and news rooms.
About the Media Lab and Digital Tool collection
The Media Lab boasts a professional studio set up with a cyclorama wall, green screens, studio lights and Surface Studios with the full Adobe Creative Suite. The digital tool library contains cameras, recording equipment and other digital accessories that can be borrowed for free with your library membership.

If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the advertised start time and there are people in the standby queue, your ticket may be allocated to the standby queue.
