Gathering your thoughts (Council Led Event)

29/03/2025 - Life Saving Hall at Carss Park.

Julie Bradley is our current Artist in Residence until 6 April 2025. She works with the techniques of collage and drawing to create mixed media artworks on paper. Her practice investigates ideas of connectedness and expresses aspects of the emotional landscape and states of being.

In this hands-on 2-hour workshop, Julie will share insights into her artistic practice, presenting her latest work and the techniques behind her creations. Participants will then embark on a short walk through the park, using the natural surroundings as inspiration. The final part of the workshop will be dedicated to creating a unique collage piece to take home, guided by Julie’s expert instruction.

This is a rare opportunity to engage directly with an experienced artist and get creative in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Works by Julie Bradley are held in the collections of the National Gallery of Australia, Australian National University, ACT Legislative Assembly, Canberra Museum and Gallery, the University of Canberra Collection, Bundanon Trust, Calvary Hospital Birth Centre, Lu Rees Archive, Canberra Hospital, Goulburn Regional Art Gallery and the Ballinglen Museum of Contemporary Art in Ireland.
