Dive into digital arts at Georges River Libraries. Create, learn and bring your ideas to life in the Media Lab! Come along to our 4 week hands-on workshop series that focuses on giving you the skills to express yourself through digital design.

This week: Pixel Play - Animate Characters with Piskel!
Whether you’re into retro video games, digital art, or just looking for a creative adventure, this workshop is the perfect introduction to pixel art and character animation. No experience needed—just bring your imagination! There are limited spaces, bookings are recommended.

This four week course is suitable for young people age 12-17 years old. It will cover multiple topics, please book for each individual session you would like to attend:

More information 

  • Please bring your own USB so you can save your digital files each week. USBs are available for purchase from the library for $6.30.
  • For participants under the age of 16, parent and/or guardian contact details must be provided at the time of booking. 
  • If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the advertised start time and there are people in the standby queue, your ticket may be allocated to the standby queue. 
  • If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration at least 3 hours prior to the event. As Library Programs have limited spaces and repeated failure to notify staff of cancellations, bookings may be refused in the future. 
  • The library does not endorse or promote any products which may be used in the workshop.
