After School Series: Invention Engine

Design, code, and build at our newest STEM program series. Using cardboard, LEDs, motors, sensors and Scratch programming language, participants will create their own exciting inventions.
In this workshop series participants will:

Learn about design thinking and prototyping.

Design and program Invention Engine bits.

Build their own invention that interacts with the world around them.
At the end of the series participants will get to take home their Invention Engine kit so they can continue learning at home.\
This workshop is suitable for children and young people who are interested in coding and electronics.
About the Facilitator
Children's Discovery create opportunities for life-long learning experiences. Their work is backed by research showing how early interventions that spark imagination build children’s confidence, communication, collaboration, and creativity.

All equipment will be provided, including gloves.

For participants under the age of 16, parents and/or guardians of children must remain in the library for the duration of the program.

If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the advertised start time and there are people in the standby queue, your ticket may be allocated to the standby queue.

If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration at least 3 hours prior to the event. As Library Programs have limited spaces, repeated failure to notify staff of cancellations may result in bookings being refused in the future.
