After School Series: Chess Club: 4 March (Council Led Event)

Designed for young chess enthusiasts, this club is a friendly space to come together to challenge each other, improve your skills and enjoy a game of chess. 

Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned player, you’ll find opportunities to meet new friends and explore new tactics. No formal lessons, just good games, great company and lots of exciting matches. 

This workshop is suitable for young people ages 9-15 years old interested in playing chess with friends. All materials and equipment are provided.

This program will be running on Tuesday afternoons in March on the following dates:

More Information

  • For participants aged 10 years and under, parents and/or guardians of children must remain in the library for the duration of the program.
  • For participants under the age of 16, parent and/or guardian contact details must be provided at the time of booking.
  • If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the advertised start time and there are people in the standby queue, your ticket may be allocated to the standby queue.
  • If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration at least 3 hours prior to the event. As Library Programs have limited spaces, repeated failure to notify staff of cancellations may result in bookings being refused in the future.
  • The library does not endorse or promote any products which may be used in the workshop.
