Drypoint Etching for Beginners (Council Led Event)
Hurstville Museum & Gallery
03/03/2025 - 10/03/2025
Join visual arts teacher and artist Heather Davidson to learn the basics of drypoint etching and explore the Makers & Manufacturers exhibition, on display until Sunday 11 May 2025.
In this two-night course, participants will create their own drypoint etching. In the first session, participants will design and create the plate in preparation for the second session, where they will use etching inks and a printing press to create their own print in response to the Makers & Manufacturers exhibition.
No prior printmaking experience is needed for this workshop but some confidence in drawing will be helpful. Please be aware that content might be repeated for participants who attended previous workshops with Heather Davidson.
This course takes place over two consecutive Mondays (3 March 2025 and 10 March 2025). The cost of the course is for both nights.
This program is part of the Makers & Manufacturers exhibition which will run until 11 May 2025. For more information on the exhibition please visit the Makers & Manufacturers exhibition webpage.
