Art in the Afternoon: Journaling illustration with Eleni Karathanasi (Council Led Event)

12/01/2025 - Hurstville Museum & Gallery

Join us on the second Sunday of the month to explore your creative side.

Experience mindful approaches to art making and try new techniques and mediums as you express yourself and enhance your wellbeing. Find your voice while you cultivate creativity. These sessions are ideal for participants seeking to connect with themselves, their creativity and community. Each session will focus on different themes and mediums.

In this workshop you will learn the basics of acrylic painting while creating a journaling illustration. From vintage to modern, you will be able to use your imagination, your own references, or our provided images for inspiration. We will explore painting cottage or space core, beach aesthetics, and dark & light academia, among other styles. This class is great for beginners or people wanting to loosen up their approach to painting.
