Australian Wildlife: A journey through time

Founded in 1909, the Australian Wildlife Society is a national not-for-profit wildlife conservation organisation who are dedicated to conserving Australian wildlife through national environmental education, public awareness, advocacy, hands-on wildlife conservation work, and community involvement.

This exhibition will convey the importance of wildlife preservation, promote the Society’s work from its inception in 1909 to 2022, as well as take the viewer on a journey through time and the history of highlights in wildlife conservation.
 

Events

The Australian Wildlife Society celebrated Australian Wildlife Week with a webinar. The webinar showcased wildlife research and conservation projects across Australia by several keynote speakers, who provided an overview of their projects. Also presented was seven of the Society's 2022 University Research Grant winners, who summarised their research and the importance of protecting Australian wildlife.

The webinar took place on Monday 3 October 2022, 12.00pm - 2.15pm. This event has now passed. 

The public were encouraged to join us at Hurstville Museum & Gallery to celebrate Australian Wildlife Week on Wednesday 5 October 2022, 1.00pm. This event has now passed.
