Sculpt your date with Wonder Mama: Session 2 (Council Led Event)
28/02/2025 - Hurstville Museum & Gallery
During this year’s Mardi Gras Festival, grab a friend or your better half and join Sydney Drag Queen, The Fabulous Wonder Mama, in this fun sculpting class using air-drying clay linked to our Makers & Manufacturers exhibition!
Create a fun sculpted bust of your friend or date with the help of The Fabulous Wonder Mama, who will guide you through the process. If you don’t have a date and are flying solo that’s fine too! Just come along and sculpt yourself or bring a photo of who you want to sculpt!
The night will start with a quick 5-minute talk about the Makers & Manufacturers exhibition, where you will see the early brick and pottery work of St George area. Afterwards, Wonder Mama will guide you through the basics of air-drying clay sculpting with some very simple, everyday tools and techniques. Create a fun, quirky piece you will cherish for years to come.
All materials are included in the class, just bring your fabulous selves!
This program is part of the Makers & Manufacturers exhibition which will run until 11 May 2025. For more information on the exhibition please visit our Makers & Manufacturers webpage.
