Calling all amateur photographers! Test your skills with the camera by joining in for our Photo Bingo competition!
Are you looking to improve your photography skills and have some fun in the process? Our Photo Bingo competition is the perfect opportunity for you to do just that.
Throughout October and November, we want you to hit the streets with a camera and submit your best photographs via Your Say. Whether you're just starting out or are an experienced photographer looking to challenge yourself. Photo Bingo is a great way to stretch your creative limits and improve your camera skills
On offer are fabulous prizes from Georges River Libraries including:
- A $100.00 picture framing voucher for the best overall Photo Bingo submission.
- Four $50.00 picture printing vouchers for best-in-category submissions.
- Highly commended works may also be selected for printing and display in the Media Lab or the Clive James Library, Kogarah Community Art Space.
The competition is open to all Georges River Library members over 16 years of age throughout October and November. Register online to receive your Photo Bingo Kit and start shooting.
No previous experience is required.

Submissions may be made with all camera types including phone cameras. DSLR cameras can be reserved and are available from the Digital Tools Library.

You can also view quality photography of the region from one of Australia’s largest amateur photo clubs. Terms and Conditions:
- By entering the Photo Bingo Competition, the photographer agrees to adhere to the following terms and conditions.
- By submitting your images, the photographer declares that they are the sole copyright holder for all works that form the competition entry.
- To be eligible for any of the prizes, the Photographer must achieve a BINGO. A BINGO is achieved by submitting works for at least 5 categories, including at least one from each of the 5 horizontal rows on the Bingo Card.
- There is a limit of 1 entry per Photo Bingo category and a maximum allowable submission of 10 works. All works must be created between 1 October 2024 and 1 December 2024.
- Competition entries will be judged by a panel selected by Georges River Libraries and will be judged on composition, technique and originality. All judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- All entries must be submitted by 11.59pm on Sunday 1 December 2024 in .jpeg format using the competition submission form on the Your Say website. See competition submission instructions included in your Photo Bingo Kit.
- The Photo Bingo Competition is open to Georges River Library members aged 16 years and over.
- All competition entries are licensed using the Creative Commons Commercial-Attribution Commercial-By license agreement. By submitting your work, the photographer agrees to license the images under these terms.
- The photographer accepts that Georges River Council may use their images for promotional and educational purposes as permitted under the terms of the Creative Commons Commercial-By license type.
- Georges River Council undertakes to attribute the photographer in any case where their works may be used for promotional or educational purposes.
- The photographer consents to Georges River Libraries printing and exhibiting selected works for display within the library as well as sharing online via social media and eNewsletters.
- Submitted works must not violate community standards nor include images of an offensive, sexual or violent nature.
- Georges River Council accepts no responsibility for harm or offence caused to competition entrants while in the course of making or submitting their images. The photographer will take all reasonable steps to avoid causing harm to themselves or others while creating their competition entries.
- It is the responsibility of the photographer to obtain necessary permissions from any subject of the photograph including obtaining a Photo/Video Image release consent form from the subject of the work.
