Revealing Hurstville Museum & Gallery’s ‘treasures’: highlights from the art collection (Council Led Event)

14/09/2024 - Hurstville Museum & Gallery.

Join Curator Claire Baddeley for a tour through the latest Dragon’s Lair Gallery exhibition, ‘Revealed: hidden treasures from the art collection’.

Drawn from Hurstville Museum & Gallery’s collection of over 150 artworks, ‘Revealed: hidden treasures from the art collection’ presents a selection of the diverse mediums, artists, subjects, and historical and contemporary paintings, drawings, prints and photographs in the collection.  Many of the works in the collection are by notable Australian and international artists and are being displayed for the first time to the public.
Claire Baddeley, Hurstville Museum & Gallery curator, will share in this informal tour how the art collection has been developed and acquired, from the early 19th century through to today. She will also highlight their local connections and explore in more detail the ‘treasures’ in the exhibition.

A complimentary light morning tea is included with this tour.
