Spotlight display - Knitter's Guild NSW - Southern group (Council Led Exhibition)

Hurstville Museum & Gallery
03/07/2024 - 01/12/2024

See a unique display of knitted and crocheted items from local members of the Knitters’ Guild’s Southern group.

The Spotlight display presents aspects of community history, both past and present, from the Georges River area and changes every three to four months. It provides an opportunity to tell local stories, often developed in conjunction with residents, groups and organisations. Cultural material from our extensive collection of over 6,000 objects is also exhibited to reflect the many unique stories, history and events from our region.

Our current Spotlight display features the Knitters’ Guild, a not-for-profit promoting and encouraging the skills of knitting and crocheting amongst its members and the wider community for over 30 years.

This display showcases a range of unique knitted and crocheted works by local members of the Knitters’ Guild’s Southern group who meet regularly on the first Saturday of the month at the Kogarah Storehouse, 18 Gray Street, Kogarah.
