Pixel Perfect – Learn Pixel Art and Animation (Council Led Event)

Learn how to create pixel art and animated sprites.

Join us in the Media Lab at Hurstville Library and learn how to create your own pixel art and animated sprites. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to use Piskel, a browser-based pixel art and animation platform. Use the library’s computers or bring your own device with your preferred browser installed.
 
In this session, you will:

  • Learn how to use Piskel.

  • Create a pixel art background.

  • Create a simple moving object.

 
About the facilitator:  
Jenny Mai has extensive experience in design and educational programming, having worked at EdApp and the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (Powerhouse). Jenny is a practising artist and the founder of Kinkan Studio.

  • If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration at least 3 hours prior to the event. As Library Programs have limited spaces, repeated failure to notify staff of cancellations may result in bookings being refused in the future.
