Discover what you can Make in the Media Lab!

Did you know that Hurstville Library is equipped with a fully functional Media Lab that can be used by members of Georges River Libraries?
 
From Photography and Video to 3D Design and animation, the Media Lab has a fully equipped photography and video studio with a range of studio lighting equipment.
 
We have a range of software accessible through the Media Lab PCs which includes the full Adobe Suite as well as Davinci Resolve. We also have a huge selection in our Digital Tool Library collection that includes DSLR Cameras, GoPros, handheld audio recorders and a Podcasting Kit.
 
Join us for a Media Lab induction and learn how to safely use the equipment, book the space and realise your creative goals. 
 
In this session you will learn:  

  • Simple lighting set-ups.

  • How to access our digital tools and equipment in the Media Lab.

  • About software available on our Surface Studio PCs including the Adobe Creative Suite, tools for 3D design and video editing.

  • About upcoming Media Lab workshops.

Terms and conditions:

  • For participants under the age of 16, parents and/or guardians of children must remain in the library for the duration of the program.

  • If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the advertised start time and there are people in the standby queue, your ticket may be allocated to the standby queue.

  • If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration at least 3 hours prior to the event. As Library Programs have limited spaces, repeated failure to notify staff of cancellations may result in bookings being refused in the future.
