Art in the Afternoon: Flower crown workshop with Amy Scully (Council Led Event)

10/11/2024 - Hurstville Museum & Gallery

Join us on the second Sunday of the month to explore your creative side.

Experience mindful approaches to artmaking and try new techniques and mediums as you express yourself and enhance your wellbeing. Find your voice while you cultivate creativity. These sessions are ideal for participants seeking to connect with themselves, their creativity and community. Each session will focus on different themes and mediums.

In this workshop we will create floral crowns ready to wear for the festive season. Immerse yourself in colour, flora, ribbons, and lace as you design and make a crown fit for royalty. Have fun while exploring materials to celebrate the abundance of nature in summertime.

Note: we will provide artificial flowers for this workshop. Participants are encouraged to bring their own resources (i.e: real flowers, foliage and personal objects).

Delivered by Amy Scully:
Amy is a creative based in Sutherland shire, working across film, theatre and as a visual artist and educator with passion for wellbeing through creativity. Amy also teaches Yoga and is an emerging art therapist. By drawing on mindful approaches to art-making, Amy’s workshops are playful, engaging, relaxing and aim to honour the creative spirit in all participants wherever they are on their journey.
