School Holiday High School Student Support: Ask Me Anything About Maths (Council Led Event)

18/07/2024 - Clive James Library, Kogarah.

Make sense of Maths with on-the-spot assistance from expert tutors, learn about library eResources, or make mindful crafts to create and take in our zero pressure chill-out zone!

Has Maths got you crying at the dining room table? Found yourself nodding when your teacher explains a question, even when you don’t get it? Don’t fear, drop in and talk to an expert who can make Maths make sense for you.

Georges River Libraries has teamed up with OpenWisdom to present Ask Me Anything at Hurstville Library and Clive James Library, Kogarah during the upcoming July school holidays. These events offer high school students the unique opportunity to bring any Maths question they have and work directly with our tutors to find the solution.

Just three easy steps to getting your questions answered:
Step 1: Register
Step 2: Check-in on the day
Step 3: Bring your questions (up to 3) to our expert Maths tutors who will help you work through the question on-the-spot.

Remember to bring a physical or digital copy of your questions for the tutors to go through. We will not be accepting files on USBs - please bring your own device to show your work to the tutor.

A dedicated study area will remain open to all registered attendees, so you can continue working through your own questions during the session. Library staff will also be around to explain how our free digital resources can help your study, and a zero pressure chill-out zone will offer free mindful crafts to create and take for times of overwhelm.

This event is completely free for all students in Years 7-12 to attend and there is no set timeslot for your tutor consultation or mindful crafting, so feel free to bring your friends and drop in at any time during the event to receive one-on-one help. However, if you would like to secure priority access to OpenWisdom Maths tutors, please register now:
